About Me.

Hello, I'm Sam Abrams. As a data analyst with a background in education, I am skilled at communicating complex ideas clearly, whether in a classroom of students or in a boardroom of tech executives. I'm a lifelong learner, always adapting to new information and challenges, just like in the ever-evolving world of data. My classroom experience has honed my problem-solving, organizational, and collaborative skills. I'm eager to bring this unique blend of skills to a data analyst role where I can contribute to a company's success. I am excited about the opportunity to leverage my diverse skill set as a data analyst.

Outside of my work, I’m an avid woodworker and reader, but I also find joy in cycling, cooking, kayaking, fishing, and video games. My vacations are usually spent exploring new places with my wife and daughter, or relaxing in a cabin in the woods.

“It may be…that when we no longer know which way to go, we have come to our real journey. The mind that is not baffled is not employed.”

How did I get here?

After eleven years of teaching high school science, I reached a point where teaching similar lessons year after year didn’t provide the challenge I needed in a career, so I decided that a shift was necessary.

When deciding on a new path, I wanted a career that required agile thinking, continuous learning, and unique problems. I found all of that in data analytics. No two projects are the same, and each project requires a different approach.

One of the things I love most about teaching is helping students translate data from the lab into scientific insights. Data analytics allows me to expand on that passion on a grander scale by pulling actionable insights from data and using them to inform data-driven recommendations.
